Duane Maki, MBA
President & CEO
Duane first came to British Columbia from Saskatchewan to plant trees in 1991 and joined Spectrum Resource Group full time in 1995. By 2006, Duane had become the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Spectrum, overseeing British Columbia and Alberta’s leading integrated vegetation management firm.
As CEO, Duane acts as a spokesperson and communication hub, implements policy from the board and directs Spectrum’s project managers and support services in the most effective utilization of human and physical resources. Duane brings considerable skills in corporate strategy, finance, governance, operations management and logistics.
Furthermore, Duane’s experience includes over fifteen years in forest health, silviculture, vegetation management and reforestation throughout BC and Alberta.
Duane holds an MBA from the University of Northern British Columbia and a B.Sc. from the University of Saskatchewan. Duane lives in Prince George with his wife and two children.
